Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a modern, membership-based approach to healthcare that removes the hassle of insurance and puts the focus back on you. For simplicity, billing is done quarterly (March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1). You have direct access to your provider, same- or next-day appointments, extended visits, and direct communication whenever you need it. DPC makes high-quality, personalized primary care affordable and accessible—without hidden costs or rushed appointments.
Integrated Direct Primary Care
Integrated Direct Primary Care combines the best of traditional primary care with the root-cause approach of functional medicine. This unique model marries all of the benefits of DPC—easy access, longer visits, and no insurance barriers with the root-cause detective work and holistic approach of functional medicine. By addressing nutrition, lifestyle, and underlying imbalances, this model makes functional medicine more affordable and attainable, ensuring you receive both proactive and preventive care for long-term health.

Do you take insurance?
We are actively working to credential with various insurance providers for more of a hybrid “concierge” clinic model. At this time, we don’t bill insurance, but we give you a superbill with ICD-10 codes that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
For labs or imaging, you can choose to use Quest, Labcorp, or your preferred provider, and they can bill your insurance directly for the ordered tests.
Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
It depends on your specific plan. Some FSA/HSA will only cover certain expenses. We recommend checking with your HR department or plan documents to confirm what’s covered. Many patients have successfully used their FSA/HSA for specialty labs, vitamins, and supplements
What is your refund or return policy?
All purchases are final. If you have concerns regarding your bill, please do not hesitate to reach out to manager@harforddirect.com! We are happy to help and look into any concerns or questions you may have.
We cannot take back any supplements purchased through VitaminLab® or Fullscripts®.
How does this work?
You pay a flat quarterly fee instead of visit fees or copays, which gives you easier access to your provider and more personalized care. We can give you paperwork to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, but coverage isn’t guaranteed. Labs and imaging can still be billed through your insurance through the servicing lab or radiology center, depending on your plan.
How does the Functional Medicine Option work?
All membership levels at Harford Direct Care now have the option to add on Functional Medicine. By choosing this option, you commit to a minimum of three months, with the flexibility to continue indefinitely. This approach enables us to utilize advanced functional medicine strategies and testing to identify the root causes of your symptoms, allowing us to create a truly personalized and holistic care plan tailored to your unique needs..
What if I want to cancel my DPC Membership?
We truly value every member and the personal relationships we build with you, so we’re always sad to see anyone go. To cancel your membership, we require a minimum 3-month commitment.
Please email us at manager@harforddirect.com or info@harforddirect.com at least 2 weeks before your desired cancellation date. This helps avoid any payment processing issues. Note: you will still be billed for the full 3-month minimum if applicable.
